India win toss, elect to field in second Sri Lanka ODI

DAMBULLA, Sri Lanka (Reuters) - India won the toss and elected to field first against Sri Lanka in their second one-day international on Wednesday.

India, trailing 1-0 in the five game series, suffered another injury blow when opening batsman Gautam Gambhir ruled out with a stiff neck.

The tourists have already lost Sachin Tendulkar (elbow) and Virender Sehwag (ankle) due to injuries.

India made two changes from the first game which Sri Lanka won by eight wickets, batsman Subramaniam Bardinath replacing Gambhir and all rounder Praveen Kumar coming in for left-arm spinner Pragyan Ohja.

Sri Lanka also suffered an injury blow with experienced left-arm paceman Chaminda Vaas pulling out due to a right hamstring problem.
